Karen Elkin

Karen has over thirty years of medical and legal experience. She began her career as a medical assistant and medical secretary, and then worked as the office manager of an orthopedic surgery practice in Miami, Florida. This experience gave her a well-rounded understanding of medical practices.

After several years in the medical field, Karen transitioned to a career as a medical paralegal, using her medical experience to create the position of Legal Medical Assistant in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury at a well-respected law firm.  In almost thirty years of working in this capacity, Karen has been responsible for analyzing records, identifying and retaining expert witnesses, and assisting in the preparation of cases for mediation and trial, among other responsibilities.

At GRYC, Karen uses her vast experience and strong understanding of medical malpractice issues to play an integral role in the legal team, handling complex medical malpractice cases.
