Legal Investigator

Aroldo Zuriarrain brings extensive investigative and emergency response expertise to Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen, honed over a decade of working in death and accident investigations and frontline medical response. Before joining the firm, Aroldo served as a Medicolegal Death Investigator with the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office. He currently serves as a firefighter with the City of Marathon Fire Department handling fire, medical, and rescue calls.

Aroldo holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. His clinical training includes hospital-based internships at Jackson Health System’s Ryder Trauma Center, University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and HCA Kendall Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in trauma, emergency care, and specialized medical units. He also completed extensive field training with Miami-Dade and City of Miami Fire Rescue, further strengthening his emergency response and scene management expertise.

Throughout his career, Aroldo has led complex investigations involving advanced decomposition, skeletal, charred, and dismembered remains, operating in remote, uncontrolled, and high-stress environments. He has collaborated closely with law enforcement, forensic pathologists, and legal teams, maintaining meticulous documentation and evidence management while ensuring seamless coordination at investigative scenes.

Aroldo played a key role in the response to the Champlain Tower Surfside collapse, assisting with mass casualty operations, scene management, and evidence documentation during one of the most high-profile structural disasters in U.S. history. He has also implemented process improvements and training programs that enhanced investigative efficiency and operational readiness across the Medical Examiner’s Office.

As a medical investigator at GRYC, Aroldo applies his extensive investigative experience to research cases, evaluate evidence, locate witnesses, and uncover critical information in matters involving personal injury, accidents, and wrongful death. His field expertise, analytical acumen, and methodical approach make him a vital asset to the firm’s investigative team.
