On May 6, 2006, a support frame at a high-rise building under construction in Bal Harbour, in Miami-Dade County, Florida collapsed, killing three workers. The project was to be a 26-story condominium with an adjoining hotel, and the workers fell from the 27th level, trapping them in quick-drying concrete as others dug to try to free them. Our firm represented the surviving spouse and minor son of one of the workers who was buried alive. After over a year of litigation against multiple defendants, our firm was able to secure a confidential settlement for this deserving family.
