Elizabeth Stockhammer

Elizabeth Stockhammer brings over two decades of hands-on clinical experience and a decade of legal consulting expertise to her role at Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen. A registered nurse for more than 22 years, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida in 2001.

She began her nursing career at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, a Level 2 trauma center. There she served as a Surgical/Trauma ICU nurse before transitioning to the neuroscience department. For six years, Elizabeth worked closely with neurosurgical patients, deepening her understanding of complex neurological care and critical interventions.

Prior to joining GRYC, Elizabeth spent more than 10 years as a Legal Nurse Consultant, specializing in medical malpractice cases. Her work included all aspects of medical malpractice investigations including, but not limited to, paraplegia resulting from epidural abscess complications and missed diagnoses of serious infections. Her clinical insight and case analysis have made her an invaluable asset in the pursuit of justice for patients and families harmed by medical negligence.

Elizabeth supports the firm’s trial teams by applying her deep medical knowledge to the legal process, helping bridge the gap between complex medical issues and strategic legal advocacy.
