Stuart Z. Grossman Honored With Two Prestigious Awards for Excellence in Law

Stuart Grossman, partner and co-founder of Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen, recently received two significant awards recognizing his legal accomplishments: the Dade County Bar Association’s Johnnie M. Ridgley President’s Award and the Alumnus of Distinction by the University of Miami School of Law.

The Johnnie M. Ridgely President’s Award is given to Miami-Dade County Bar Association members who have shown an exemplary commitment to bettering the legal profession and serving their community. The bar association’s president chose Grossman as a recipient of this prestigious award for his tireless representation of the weak and oppressed, the thousands of hours he has labored for charitable causes and his professional success, which has earned him national acclaim.

The University of Miami School of Law’s Alumni Association selected him to receive the Alumnus of Distinction Award for his distinguished career in law, his service to the legal community, and his loyalty and support of the Alma Mater the University of Miami School of Law. The award was presented to Stuart on June 14 during the University of Miami Law Alumni Association’s reception at the 2018 Annual Florida Bar Convention in Orlando, Fla.

Grossman is one of the nation’s leading trial lawyers in medical malpractice, products liability, police misconduct, aviation, personal injury litigation and wrongful death due to the vast amount of favorable verdicts he has secured throughout his career.

In addition to The Johnnie M. Ridgely President’s Award and the University of Miami School of Law Alumnus of Distinction Award, Grossman has been named in the Legal Elite’s Hall of Fame by Florida Trend in 2018. These wins follow a big year for Stuart, where, in 2017, he was recognized as the “Top Personal Injury Attorney” by the Dade County Bar Association as well as one of South Florida’s “Most Effective Lawyers” for personal injury by the Daily Business Review.

Outside of the courtroom, Grossman is passionately committed to supporting the Margaux’s Miracle Foundation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, United Cerebral Palsy and the United Way. He is also an established author and lecturer on legal affairs who has been interviewed by Ted Koppel, Larry King and others for his medical malpractice expertise.
