Attorney Stuart Grossman Appointed as Liaison Counsel in Champlain Towers South Collapse Litigation

Grossman, co-founder of Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen, has been appointed Wrongful Death Damage Liaison Counsel for the Champlain Towers South Collapse Litigation, and Attorney Rachel Furst Appointed as Co-Chair Lead Counsel, which consolidates lawsuits arising from the Surfside condo collapse June 24. These lawsuits primarily name Champlain Towers South Condominium Association, Inc. as the defendant, though there are others.

Further, the order entered today by the Miami Dade Circuit Court judge presiding over these cases has divided the cases into two tracks: (1) personal injury and wrongful death track and (2) economic loss and property damage track.

The tragic Surfside condo collapse has devastated the nation. Its death toll continues to rise, as more and more persons formerly unaccounted for are identified during the recovery mission.

Per the court order, Stuart Grossman was chosen to serve as the Wrongful Death Damage Claim Liaison Counsel for this case. In this position, he will address issues regarding the claims of survivors and families. His years of representing South Florida communities in a wide range of wrongful death claims made him a standout candidate for this position.
