Stuart Grossman, Co-Founder of Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen and one of America’s preeminent trial lawyers, was recognized as a 50-Year Honoree of The Florida Bar during the Annual Convention in Boca Raton. Over the course of half a century, Grossman has remained committed to the high ideals of service to Floridians and protection of their rights. His successful career is distinguished by a number of favorable verdicts that are among the largest awarded by Florida juries.
Combining his competitive edge and fierce dedication to helping others, Grossman has won billions of dollars for his clients. His cases have ranged from a historic multidistrict litigation against major banks to infant deaths to a wrongful death suit in a prominent police brutality case. That success has seen him become a prominent member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and receive the Florida Justice Association’s highest honor, the Perry Nichols Award.
In more recent years Grossman acted as a lead plaintiff attorney in the Surfside Condo/Champlain Towers South Collapse litigation, which we have reported on several times in our blog. In a historic moment, he was able to steer negotiations with the defendants to secure a $997 million settlement pool.
Grossman is also known for his charitable work with organizations such as United Way, the American Jewish Committee and Margaux’s Miracle Foundation, an organization he founded at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in honor of his daughter, who was a victim of childhood cancer.
